During the past week, from June 16 to 22, a total of 50,857 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX), which is 0.8% more than in the previous week. Of these, 42.6% accounted for exchange trading, while the remaining 57.4% were executed via electronic commerce trading systems..

As a result of e-procurement trading, budgetary and corporate customers saved a total of 129.8 billion UZS.

During the reporting period, 3,659 vehicle license plates were sold via online auction.

Exchange Trading

A total of 21,642 transactions were concluded on the open exchange market during the reporting period.

Cement

A total of 160,070.0 tonnes of cement were sold through exchange trading. The average daily sales volume amounted to 32.0 thousand tonnes.

Over the period under review, the average daily price for all grades of cement decreased from 575.8 thousand UZS to 562.6 thousand UZS per tonne. An average of 85 buyers participated in the exchange trading daily.

Sugar

Last week, 7,584.0 tonnes of sugar were sold on the exchange.
The average daily sales volume amounted to 1,517.0 tonnes.

The average daily price for sugar slightly declined from 12,583.4 thousand UZS to 12,579.4 thousand UZS per tonne. An average of 49 buyers participated in the exchange trading daily.

Cathode Copper

A total of 2,199.0 tonnes of cathode copper were offered on the exchange, of which 2,075.0 tonnes were sold, representing a 94.4% sales rate.The average daily sales volume amounted to 415.0 tonnes.

During the period, the average daily price for cathode copper decreased from 134,885.3 thousand UZS to 131,845.5 thousand UZS per tonne. An average of 10 buyers participated in the exchange trading daily.
