Weekly UZEX Digest ( July 21 – July 27)
During the period from July 21 to July 27, a total of 40,897 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange (UZEX), representing a 6.9% decrease compared to the previous week. Of these, 38.4% were conducted through exchange trading, while the remaining 61.6% took place via electronic commerce trading systems.
As a result of e-procurement trading, budgetary and corporate customers achieved total savings of UZS 145.6 billion.
A total of 3,881 vehicle registration plates were sold through the online auction system during the reporting period.
Exchange Trading
A total of 15,703 transactions were concluded on the open exchange market during the week.
Polyethylene
A volume of 2,565.0 tons of polyethylene was offered on the exchange, and the entire amount was sold.
The average daily price of polyethylene decreased from UZS 16,732.5 thousand to UZS 16,338.1 thousand per ton during the week. An average of 63 buyers participated in the exchange trading daily.
Sugar
A total of 829.0 tons of sugar was sold through exchange trading, with an average daily volume of 166.0 tons.
The average daily price of sugar decreased from UZS 12,782.0 thousand to UZS 12,720.7 thousand per ton. On average, 6 buyers took part in the sugar auctions each day.
Urea
During the week, 7,483.0 tons of urea were offered for sale, of which 7,352.0 tons (or 98.3%) were sold. An average of 561 buyers participated in the daily exchange trading.
The average daily price of all urea grades decreased slightly from UZS 3,947.3 thousand to UZS 3,940.3 thousand per ton.
