Weekly UZEX Digest (January 26-February 1)
Over the past week, from January 26 to February 1, a total of 37,862 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange, which is 1.5% higher than in the previous week. Of this total, 53.9% accounted for exchange trading, while the remaining 46.1% were conducted through electronic commerce trading systems.
As a result of electronic trading in public procurement, the total savings for budgetary and corporate customers amounted to UZS 73.9 billion.
During the reporting period, 284 telephone numbers were sold through online auctions.
Exchange Trading
During the reporting period, 20,415 transactions were concluded on open exchange trading floors.
Flour
A total of 16,741.0 tons of flour were sold through exchange trading. The average daily trading volume amounted to 3,348.0 tons.
Over the reviewed period, the average daily price of flour decreased from UZS 3,775.9 thousand to UZS 3,715.2 thousand per ton. On average, 177 buyers participated in daily trading sessions.
Meal
Last week, 11,155.0 tons of meal were sold through exchange trading. The average daily trading volume amounted to 2,231.0 tons. On average, 13 buyers participated in trading each day.
Over the reporting period, the average daily price of meal declined from UZS 3,858.8 thousand to UZS 3,824.4 thousand per ton.
Cottonseed Oil
During the past week, 3,303.0 tons of cottonseed oil were sold through exchange trading. The average daily trading volume amounted to 661.0 tons. On average, 11 buyers participated in daily trading sessions.
Over the reporting period, the average daily price for all grades of cottonseed oil decreased from UZS 15,821.6 thousand to UZS 12,540.8 thousand per ton.
