Weekly UZEX Digest (January 19-January 25 )
Over the past week, i.e. from 19 to 25 January, a total of 37,313 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange, which is 33.9% higher than in the previous week. Of these, 59.1% were executed on the exchange trading floor, while the remaining 40.9% were carried out via e-commerce trading systems.
As a result of electronic government procurement trading, total savings for budgetary and corporate customers amounted to UZS 68.8 billion.
During the reporting period, 313 telephone numbers were sold through online auctions.
Exchange Trading
During the reporting period, 22,050 transactions were concluded on open exchange trading.
Polyethylene
A total of 3,789.0 tons of polyethylene were offered for exchange trading, of which 3,549.0 tons, or 93.7%, were sold. The average daily sales volume amounted to 710.0 tons.
Over the period under review, the average daily price of polyethylene decreased from UZS 16,026.3 thousand to UZS 15,398.7 thousand per ton. On average, 65 buyers participated in exchange trading each day.
Compound Feed
During the past week, 388.0 tons of compound feed were offered for exchange trading, with the entire volume sold. The average daily sales volume amounted to 78.0 tons.
Over the reporting period, the average daily price of compound feed declined from UZS 2,701.5 thousand to UZS 2,000.0 thousand per ton. On average, 3 buyers participated in exchange trading each day.
Rolled Ferrous Metals
Last week, 2,546.0 tons of rolled ferrous metals were sold through exchange trading. On average, 12 buyers participated in trading each day, while the average daily sales volume amounted to 509.0 tons.
Over the period under review, the average daily price for all grades of ferrous metals decreased from UZS 8,697.1 thousand to UZS 8,504.5 thousand per ton.
