Weekly UZEX Digest (February 2-February 8)
Over the past week, from February 2 to February 8, a total of 38,902 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange, which is 2.7% higher than in the previous week. Of this total, 49.8% accounted for exchange trading, while the remaining 50.2% were conducted through electronic commerce trading systems.
As a result of electronic trading in public procurement, the total savings for budgetary and corporate customers amounted to UZS 115.2 billion.
During the reporting period, 303 telephone numbers were sold through online auctions.
Exchange Trading
During the reporting period, 19,362 transactions were concluded on open exchange trading floors.
Cement
A total of 368,448.0 tons of cement were offered for exchange trading, of which 142,476.0 tons were sold, or 38.7%. The average daily trading volume amounted to 28,495.0 tons.
Over the reporting period, the average daily price of cement decreased from UZS 611.8 thousand to UZS 575.0 thousand per ton. On average, 62 buyers participated in daily trading sessions.
Sugar
During the past week, 462.0 tons of sugar were sold through exchange trading. The average daily trading volume amounted to 92.0 tons.
Over the reporting period, the average daily price of sugar decreased from UZS 12,870.0 thousand to UZS 12,713.1 thousand per ton. On average, 4 buyers participated in daily trading sessions.
Hulls
During the reporting period, 6,308.0 tons of hulls were sold through exchange trading. The average daily trading volume amounted to 1,262.0 tons, with an average of 12 buyers participating each day.
Over the reporting period, the average daily price of hulls decreased from UZS 3,155.0 thousand to UZS 3,075.0 thousand per ton.
