Weekly UZEX Digest (December 8 - December 14 )
During the past week, from December 8 to 14, a total of 36,745 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX), representing an increase of 4.7% compared to the previous week. Of these transactions, 25.0% were conducted through exchange trading, while the remaining 75.0% took place via electronic commerce trading systems.
As a result of electronic public procurement auctions, total savings for budgetary and corporate customers amounted to UZS 136.5 billion.
During the reporting period, 213 telephone numbers were sold via the online auction platform.
Exchange Trading
During the reporting period, 9,196 transactions were concluded through open exchange trading.
Meal
A total of 13,479.0 tons of meal were sold through exchange trading. On average, 26 buyers participated in exchange trading on a daily basis. The average daily sales volume amounted to 3,370.0 tons.
Over the period under review, the average daily price of meal decreased from UZS 4,183.9 thousand to UZS 3,903.9 thousand per ton.
Rolled Ferrous Metals
Last week, 2,657.0 tons of rolled ferrous metals were sold through exchange trading. The average daily sales volume of rolled ferrous metals amounted to 664.0 tons.
During the reporting period, the average daily price of rolled ferrous metals declined from UZS 8,621.9 thousand to UZS 8,536.7 thousand per ton. On average, 18 buyers participated in exchange trading each day.
Technical Seeds
Over the past week, 57,898.0 tons of technical seeds were sold through exchange trading. On average, 20 buyers participated in exchange trading on a daily basis. The average daily sales volume amounted to 14,475.0 tons.
During the period under review, the average daily price of technical seeds decreased from UZS 4,295.3 thousand to UZS 4,178.0 thousand per ton.
