Weekly UZEX Digest (December 29 - January 4 )
Over the past week, from December 29, 2025, to January 4, 2026, a total of 11,049 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange, which is 81.0% lower compared to the previous week. Of these, 86.9% were executed on the exchange itself, while the remaining 13.1% took place via electronic commerce trading systems.
As a result of electronic trading for government procurement, the total savings for budgetary and corporate clients amounted to UZS 33.7 billion.
During the reporting period, 168 phone numbers were sold through the online auction.
Exchange Trading
During the reporting period, 9,601 transactions were concluded on the open exchange.
Cottonseed Oil
Through exchange trading, 2,370.0 tons of cottonseed oil were sold, with an average daily trading volume of 1,185.0 tons. On average, 12 buyers participated in the exchange trades daily.
Over the reporting period, the daily average price for all grades of cottonseed oil decreased from UZS 16,962.7 thousand to UZS 15,742.5 thousand per ton.
Cottonseed Hulls
Last week, 4,976.0 tons of cottonseed hulls were sold via the exchange. On average, 16 buyers participated daily, with an average daily trading volume of 2,488.0 tons.
During the period, the daily average price of hulls fell from UZS 3,028.9 thousand to UZS 2,762.7 thousand per ton.
Cotton Fiber
Over the past week, 18,595.0 tons of cotton fiber were offered for sale, of which 8,903.0 tons were sold, representing 47.9% of the total. The average daily trading volume was 4,451.0 tons.
During this period, the daily average price for all grades of cotton fiber declined from UZS 17,632.9 thousand to UZS 16,399.3 thousand per ton, with an average of 10 buyers participating in the exchange trades each day.
