Weekly UZEX Digest (December 22 - December 28 )
Over the past week, from 22 to 28 December, a total of 58,137 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of JSC Uzbek Commodity Exchange, which is 18.9% more than in the previous week. Of this total, 31.9% accounted for exchange-based trading, while the remaining 68.1% were conducted through e-commerce trading systems.
As a result of electronic trading in public procurement, total savings for budget-funded and corporate customers amounted to UZS 225.3 billion.
During the reporting period, 213 telephone numbers were sold via online auctions.
Exchange Trading
During the reporting period, 18,552 transactions were concluded on open exchange trading floors.
Wheat
A total of 44,509.0 tons of wheat were sold through exchange trading. On average, 273 buyers participated in trading sessions on a daily basis. The average daily volume of wheat sales amounted to 8,902.0 tons.
Over the period under review, the average daily price of wheat decreased from UZS 2,938.7 thousand to UZS 2,930.9 thousand per ton.
Compound Feed
A total of 3,062.0 tons of compound feed were offered for exchange trading, of which 2,231.0 tons, or 72.9%, were sold. The average daily sales volume amounted to 446.0 tons.
During the reporting period, the average daily price of compound feed decreased from UZS 1,996.9 thousand to UZS 1,922.6 thousand per ton. On average, 7 buyers participated in exchange trading each day.
Ammophos
During the past week, 3,461.0 tons of ammophos were offered for sale, of which 1,984.0 tons, or 57.3%, were sold. The average daily sales volume of ammophos amounted to 397.0 tons.
Over the period under review, the average daily price of ammophos decreased from UZS 7,825.9 thousand to UZS 7,819.0 thousand per ton. On average, 170 buyers participated in exchange trading each day.
