Weekly UZEX Digest (December 15 - December 21 )
Over the past week, from December 15 to 21, a total of 48,897 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of JSC Uzbek Commodity Exchange, which is 33.1% higher than in the previous week. Of this total, 25.9% accounted for exchange-based trading, while the remaining 74.1% were conducted through electronic commerce trading systems.
As a result of electronic trading in public procurement, the total savings of budgetary and corporate customers amounted to UZS 190.2 billion.
During the reporting period, 274 telephone numbers were sold through the online auction platform.
Exchange Trading
During the reporting period, 12,660 transactions were concluded in open exchange trading.
Flour
A total of 20,853.0 tons of flour were sold through exchange trading. The average daily trading volume amounted to 4,171.0 tons.
Over the period under review, the average daily price of flour decreased from UZS 3,717.1 thousand to UZS 3,690.5 thousand per ton. On average, 186 buyers participated daily in flour trading on the exchange.
Cement
A total of 300,448.0 tons of cement were offered for sale on the exchange, of which 33,260.0 tons, or 11.1%, were sold. The average daily trading volume amounted to 6,652.0 tons.
During the reporting period, the average daily price of cement declined from UZS 661.7 thousand to UZS 651.3 thousand per ton. On average, 43 buyers participated daily in cement trading.
Urea
During the past week, 8,559.0 tons of urea were offered for sale, of which 4,112.0 tons, or 48.0%, were sold. The average daily trading volume amounted to 822.0 tons.
Over the reporting period, the average daily price for all grades of urea decreased from UZS 3,815.7 thousand to UZS 3,702.1 thousand per ton. On average, 213 buyers participated daily in urea trading on the exchange.
