During the past week, from December 1 to 7, a total of 35,102 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX), which is 10.9% lower compared to the previous week. Of these, 32.0% were conducted through the exchange, while the remaining 68.0% took place via electronic commerce trading systems.

As a result of electronic government procurement trading, the total savings for budgetary and corporate customers amounted to UZS 136.9 billion.

During the same period, 271 phone numbers were sold via online auctions.

Exchange Trading

During the reporting period, 11,246 transactions were concluded on open exchange trades.

Cement

A total of 423,094.0 tons of cement were offered for trading, of which 112,491.0 tons (or 26.6%) were sold. The average daily sales volume amounted to 22,498.0 tons.

During this period, the daily average price of cement decreased from UZS 637.2 thousand to UZS 599.2 thousand per ton. On average, 69 buyers participated in the daily exchange trades.

Urea

Over the past week, 14,166.0 tons of urea were offered for sale, of which 4,654.0 tons (or 32.9%) were sold. On average, 135 buyers participated in daily exchange trades.

During this period, the daily average price of all grades of urea decreased from UZS 3,886.2 thousand to UZS 3,853.0 thousand per ton.

Polyethylene

During the past week, 3,315.0 tons of polyethylene were offered for exchange trading, of which 2,819.0 tons (or 85.0%) were sold. The average daily sales volume amounted to 564.0 tons.

During this period, the daily average price of polyethylene decreased from UZS 16,801.5 thousand to UZS 16,367.5 thousand per ton. On average, 68 buyers participated in daily exchange trades.
