Weekly UZEX Digest (August 11– August 17)
During the period from August 11 to August 17, a total of 41,870 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange JSC, which is 13.8% higher compared to the previous week. Of these, 35.1% accounted for exchange trading, while the remaining 64.9% fell on e-commerce trading systems.
As a result of electronic public procurement auctions, total savings for budgetary and corporate customers amounted to UZS 172.2 billion.
Over the reporting period, 3,889 vehicle registration plates were sold via online auctions.
Exchange Trading
Over the reporting period, 14,705 transactions were concluded in the open exchange market.
Urea
Last week, 6,003.0 tons of urea were put up for sale, of which 5,999.0 tons (99.9%) were sold.
The daily average price of urea decreased from UZS 3,942,500 to UZS 3,915,700 per ton.
On average, 569 buyers participated in daily trading sessions.
Sugar
A total of 3,146.0 tons of sugar were sold through exchange trading, with an average daily sales volume of 629.0 tons.
During the reporting period, the daily average price of sugar fell from UZS 12,870,000 to UZS 12,716,500 per ton.
On average, 13 buyers participated in daily trading sessions.
Polyethylene
Last week, 3,147.0 tons of polyethylene were sold through exchange trading, with an average daily sales volume of 629.0 tons.
On average, 90 buyers participated in daily trading sessions.
During the reporting period, the daily average price of polyethylene decreased from UZS 16,881,200 to UZS 16,227,200 per ton.
