Weekly UZEX Digest (April 27-May 3)
During the past week, from April 27 to May 3, a total of 50,022 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange, which is 1.1% higher compared to the previous week. Of these, 42.0% accounted for exchange trades, while the remaining 58.0% were conducted through electronic commerce systems.
As a result of electronic public procurement auctions, total savings of budgetary and corporate customers amounted to UZS 138.0 billion.
During the reporting period, 148 telephone numbers were sold through the online auction platform.
Exchange trading
During the reporting period, 20,995 transactions were concluded in open exchange trading.
Cement
A total of 675,770.0 tons of cement were offered for trading, of which 316,979.0 tons, or 46.9%, were sold. The average daily sales volume amounted to 63,396.0 tons.
Over the reporting period, the average daily price for cement decreased from UZS 661.2 thousand to UZS 640.7 thousand per ton. On average, 85 buyers participated in trading each day.
Flour
A total of 17,875.0 tons of flour were sold through exchange trading. The average daily sales volume amounted to 3,575.0 tons.
Over the reporting period, the average daily price for flour decreased from UZS 3,910.0 thousand to UZS 3,764.1 thousand per ton. On average, 180 buyers participated in trading each day.
Polyethylene
During the past week, 3,076.0 tons of polyethylene were offered for sale, with the entire volume fully sold. The average daily sales volume amounted to 615.0 tons.
Over the reporting period, the average daily price for polyethylene decreased from UZS 19,999.6 thousand to UZS 18,278.0 thousand per ton. On average, 84 buyers participated in trading each day.
