Weekly UZEX Digest (April 20-April 26)
During the past week, from April 20 to April 26, a total of 49,485 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange, which is 2.9% lower compared to the previous week. Of these, 42.3% accounted for exchange trades, while the remaining 57.7% were conducted through electronic commerce systems.
As a result of electronic public procurement auctions, total savings of budgetary and corporate customers amounted to UZS 140.0 billion.
During the reporting period, 129 telephone numbers were sold through the online auction platform.
Exchange trading
During the reporting period, 20,946 transactions were concluded in open exchange trading.
Urea
During the past week, 13,007.0 tons of urea were offered for sale, of which 12,999.0 tons, or 99.9%, were sold. The average daily sales volume amounted to 2,600.0 tons.
Over the reporting period, the average daily price for all grades of urea decreased from UZS 4,037.3 thousand to UZS 4,002.4 thousand per ton. On average, 1,639 buyers participated in trading each day.
Wheat
A total of 37,024.0 tons of wheat were sold through exchange trading. On average, 321 buyers participated in trading each day. The average daily sales volume amounted to 7,405.0 tons.
Over the reporting period, the average daily price for wheat decreased from UZS 3,140.5 thousand to UZS 3,112.5 thousand per ton.
Technical seeds
A total of 6,658.0 tons of technical seeds were sold through exchange trading. On average, 7 buyers participated in trading each day. The average daily sales volume amounted to 1,332.0 tons.
Over the reporting period, the average daily price for technical seeds decreased from UZS 5,324.9 thousand to UZS 5,237.8 thousand per ton.
