Weekly UZEX Digest (April 13-April 19)
During the past week, from April 13 to April 19, a total of 50,977 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange, which is 6.0% lower compared to the previous week. Of these, 43.9% accounted for exchange trades, while the remaining 56.1% were conducted through electronic commerce systems.
As a result of electronic public procurement auctions, total savings of budgetary and corporate customers amounted to UZS 117.6 billion.
During the reporting period, 155 telephone numbers were sold through the online auction platform.
Exchange trading
During the reporting period, 22,396 transactions were concluded in open exchange trading.
Cottonseed oil
A total of 4,639.0 tons of cottonseed oil were offered for trading and fully sold. The average daily sales volume amounted to 928.0 tons.
On average, 5 buyers participated in trading each day. Over the reporting period, the average daily price for all grades of cottonseed oil decreased from UZS 16,742.6 thousand to UZS 14,698.8 thousand per ton.
Ferrous metals rolled products
A total of 828.0 tons of ferrous metal rolled products were sold through exchange trading. The average daily sales volume amounted to 166.0 tons.
On average, 6 buyers participated in trading each day. Over the reporting period, the average daily price for all grades of ferrous metals decreased from UZS 9,120.1 thousand to UZS 8,640.7 thousand per ton.
Ammonium sulfate
A total of 8,062.0 tons of ammonium sulfate were sold through exchange trading. The average daily sales volume amounted to 1,612.0 tons.
On average, 169 buyers participated in trading each day. Over the reporting period, the average daily price for ammonium sulfate decreased from UZS 3,003.8 thousand to UZS 2,954.0 thousand per ton.
