During the past week, from September 29 to October 5, a total of 30,297 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX), which is 21.1% less compared to the previous week. Of these, 46.8% were made through exchange trading, while the remaining 53.2% were conducted via electronic commerce systems.

As a result of electronic trading in public procurement, total savings for budgetary and corporate customers amounted to 367.2 billion soums.

A total of 270 phone numbers were sold through the online auction platform during the reporting period.

Exchange Trading

During the reporting week, 14,184 transactions were concluded on open exchange trading sessions.

Cottonseed Oil

Over the past week, 1,346.0 tons of cottonseed oil were sold through exchange trading. The average daily trading volume amounted to 337.0 tons, with an average of 8 buyers participating daily.

During the reporting period, the average daily price for all grades of cottonseed oil decreased from 16,576.1 thousand soums to 13,892.4 thousand soums per ton.

Wheat

A total of 38,480.0 tons of wheat were sold through exchange trading. On average, 161 buyers participated in trading sessions daily, and the average daily sales volume reached 9,620.0 tons.

The average daily price for wheat declined from 2,889.2 thousand soums to 2,664.5 thousand soums per ton during the reporting period.

Cotton Fiber

During the week, 8,565.0 tons of cotton fiber were offered for sale, of which 4,675.0 tons (54.6%) were sold. The average daily trading volume amounted to 1,169.0 tons.

The average daily price for all grades of cotton fiber decreased from 19,259.9 thousand soums to 18,495.6 thousand soums per ton. An average of 5 buyers participated in exchange trading daily.
