Weekly UZEX Digest (January 5-January 11 )
Over the past week, from January 5 to 11, 2026, a total of 16,875 transactions were concluded across all trading platforms of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange, which is 52.7% higher than the previous week. Of these, 76.3% were executed on the exchange itself, while the remaining 23.7% took place via electronic commerce trading systems.
As a result of electronic trading for government procurement, the total savings for budgetary and corporate clients amounted to UZS 46.7 billion.
During the reporting period, 138 phone numbers were sold through the online auction.
Exchange Trading
During the reporting period, 12,868 transactions were concluded on the open exchange.
Flour
Through exchange trading, 20,612.0 tons of flour were sold, with an average daily trading volume of 4,122.0 tons. The daily average price of flour during the period was UZS 3,717.2 thousand per ton, with an average of 198 buyers participating in the exchange trades daily.
Metallic Zinc
A total of 355.0 tons of metallic zinc were offered on the exchange, all of which were sold, with an average daily trading volume of 71.0 tons. On average, 7 buyers participated in the trades daily. During the period, the daily average price of metallic zinc decreased from UZS 42,109.4 thousand to UZS 38,186.3 thousand per ton.
Ammonium Nitrate
During the past week, 13,743.0 tons of ammonium nitrate were sold on the exchange. On average, 228 buyers participated daily, with an average daily trading volume of 2,749.0 tons.
Over the reporting period, the daily average price of ammonium nitrate fell from UZS 3,077.2 thousand to UZS 3,041.5 thousand per ton.
